Rockin Vans offers a fantastic way to travel with our Campervan Hire in Scotland
Campervan Hire Scotland
Now more than ever, people are able to experience the world through the eyes of another. Social media allows us a unique glimpse into life around the globe, and it is a gift that shouldn’t be taken for granted. However, we believe that 2019 should be the year of travel. We don’t even necessarily mean for travel out of the country either. Scotland has so many fantastic spots to check out that most people living here don’t even consider. Why spend a lot of money travelling abroad when there is so much to see right here. Rockin Vans offer a campervan hire in Scotland so that you can check out all that our fantastic country has to offer.
You may be asking yourself; why would I spend money on a campervan hire in Scotland rather than on plane tickets? Well, not only is it significantly cheaper, but a campervan holiday allows for a personalised experience. You can tailor-make yourself the perfect holiday. No longer will you be held to the whims of a travel agent, now you can choose where you go and for how long. You can choose what activities you really want to do and what you can afford to skip.
Stunning Landscapes and Natural Wonders
Do you want to go on a holiday where you see some of the more stunning natural landscapes in the country? No bother, with your campervan hire in Scotland, you can drive up North and sleep among the stars and rolling hills. There are a couple of places that we would definitely recommend. Fort William is the gateway to Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the United Kingdom. If you manage to make it to the top, you are treated to some of the most gorgeous sites you will see anywhere. We do recommend that you take this one on during the peak of Summer, as mist does have an annoying habit of hindering the view.
Don’t want to climb? That’s alright. Fort William and the surrounding areas have some other fantastic sites to behold. Why not take a visit to the West Highland Line? It connects Glasgow with Mallaig and Oban and has been voted the most scenic railway in the world twice. However, the best part has to be the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct. If you’re a fan of the Harry Potter film series, it’s a structure that you won’t want to miss seeing.
Tons of Activities and Experiences
Perhaps you don’t want to sightsee or hike. That’s fine. There is a lot more to Scotland than just natural wonders and challenging walks. We’ve been blessed with a ton of fantastic attractions that you don’t have to be a tourist to enjoy. From the creepy to the historic, we have a number of activities to do and attractions to visit that will entertain anyone regardless of age or background.
For those horror fans out there, Edinburgh is the place to be. The Old Town is an undeniably creepy area, despite its majestic historic features. There are so many horror tours that run throughout the city, that you would have to stay a month to experience them all. Best all, a load of them are totally free. If you’re wanting a really chilling experience, you could take a visit to Mark King’s Close, a 17th-century street that was locked under Edinburgh’s streets after it became inundated with plague victims.
Not everyone likes horror-filled holidays and that is understandable. We have a range of museums that feature less gruesome exhibits, some of which are fantastic for children as they allow you to interact and fully immerse yourself in the experience. We would recommend that all sea life lovers get themselves down to the Deep Sea Life near Edinburgh and to the Sea Life in Loch Lomond Shores in their campervan hire in Scotland. Both offer some fantastic interactive exhibits that both adults and children will love.
