COVID-19: Situation Update

Rockin Vans: Your trip and the Current situation 

We now have indicative reopening dates from the government and industry bodies:

– Our Midlands (Redditch) depot is working towards the 4th July.
– Our Scottish depot (Edinburgh) is working towards 15th July.

We believe that campers & motorhomes have an important place in the ‘new normal’ and we’re taking that responsibility seriously. We want to make sure our customers are able to have a great socially distanced staycation while keeping themselves and the people around them safe.

Those that want to book their trip based on these dates can book with a £150 deposit. Our team will then call you once we officially reopen to take the remaining balance.

Here are just some of the steps we are taking to ensure your safety. Please visit our website to see our full COVID-19 policy:

– A contactless handover and drop off
– Staggered collection and return times
– Strict cleaning regimes

We can’t wait to welcome our customers back over the coming months. As we begin our phased return we hope you can bear with our wonderful team as they learn to operate under these new regulations.

Remember that staycations within the UK can be a fantastic holiday and getting off the beaten track into the Scottish Highlands is a perfect way to escape the madness!

CLEANLINESS  & HYGIENE

We will keep delivering our vehicles in a deep cleaned fashion as always. Cleanliness is a big factor in most companies but we are taking every precaution necessary. 

We are no longer offering bedding as an optional extra. Please discuss your options with us when you hire.

We are communicating with staff regularly to ensure our staff are up to date with the latest government advice. We have developed new checklists to disinfect our campers before every hire. Our Kitchen packs are being sterilised after every use and staff are using rubber gloves for all cleaning and preparation services.

Our crew have been trained on appropriate hygiene practices, including hand cleanliness, maintaining appropriate distance, and avoiding unnecessary contact with others. They have also been given the option of wearing face masks, which they may take-up on personal preference. These practices are to provide added security to both our crew and customers.

If you are feeling unwell or have been advised by the government or a healthcare professional to self-isolate, please contact us before your arrival. We will advise on the appropriate motorhome pick-up procedures. The same procedure applies if you begin feeling unwell during your trip.

WHAT WE ARE DOING FOR YOU

Enhanced Flexibility

Should you wish to defer travel – but you are unsure of when you will travel – we will offer the flexibility to be able to use your full credit towards your future booking – we will hold this amount on file against your current booking and will be happy to work through alternative travel dates with you in the coming weeks/months.

Should you wish to rebook with new dates in the immediate future, the value of the booking can be used as a credit towards your new booking.  You can either discuss your new booking options with our contact centre team members, or get a new quote online and we will deduct your credit value from the price of your new booking.

EARLY COLLECTIONS

We will allow collection at any time between 10am – 4pm (subject to availability). This is to stagger the visitors to our depot and enable us to clean properly in between customers. 

CANCELATIONS

We understand your situation, and we respect the fact that you would like to cancel. This is a massively unprecedented situation that we are all in, and we hope you are keeping yourself well!
Before you go ahead with your cancelation please consider the following:
We are able to put your booking on ‘hold’ so that you can go on holiday once this situation calms down. We do not need exact dates yet, and we can move your booking as many times as you like. We still want you to enjoy a holiday after all!
While we are still fully open we are aware that people might want to change their bookings. Not just with Rockin Vans but with other businesses. This is a hard time for us all but where possible, please try and reschedule for a later date rather than cancel all together.
